***EDIT
Due to the requests, I have now made this available as a print. If you order one, I would like a note when you get it to find out how the quality is. This means I re-uploaded the image to a higher quality, I hope it looks better for all of you!

Also thanks to all those who have been commenting and :+fav:'ing this image before and after it was awarded its DD! A special thanks goes out to :iconwhazel: for suggesting it!

Taken yesterday morning at Stoney Point on Lake Superior. I was just positioning myself (uncomfortably) on the rocks to try and get a good angle. I looked up and at the camera when the whole world seemed to slow down. I could see the water moving in at a close rock it had been avoiding up until this point. I got ready and clicked, as the world still slowed down only to pause just as I released the shutter. It felt like everything stopped for a few seconds only to rush fast forward to catch up with time, who I will let you know stops for no one.

I hadn't been looking through the viewfinder at the time of the picture and I was barely able to see the LCD screen, but I knew I got the picture and couldn't be happier about it. I had done some level adjustments to even out the histogram. Other than that, this is what I saw.

I chose the title because it looks like a hand trying to grab the sun, only to be melted and separated into a dozen little soft specs helpless against gravity.

Daily DeviationCant Grab the Sun by *dugonline Comment by *Whazel "Dug has a unique vision. You can find poetic sunrise and sunsets, macro shots of flowers, polar panoramas and stacked apples and cairns. He isn't the type of artist to photograph something because it's pretty or will be well liked. He sees something charming in so many things and experiments to his hearts content. 'Cant Grab the Sun' is just one of the many treasures to be found in his eclectic gallery!" (Suggested by =Whazel and Featured by `KevLewis)

Thanks again. I had shot plenty on burst mode, but this one was not in burst, and it was the best of all of them.
