Simply amazing...just listening to the Edmund Fitzgerald. I lived on Lake Ontario most of my life and I used watch the lakers in the middle of winter from the beach. Quite a site!!!

Where the hell have you been? And welcome back. I have moved back to Duluth since we last talked.

I think you still owe me a drink ;)

You still in town?

Great shot Dug! Something almost post-apocalyptic about it. I like it a lot.

Thanks. I actually get up early to see if its clear and steamy. This is why I don't sleep enough on the weekends

Lucky, I've been hoping to see that boat for a long time now. Of course, it doesn't help being 6 hours away :(

This exact boat? Or a boat in the steam like this?

Both actually. I was talking about the boat but after seeing this I remember a shot I saw somewhere of one of the lakers passing by the North Harbor Light in the steam and the front was completely covered in ice. I don't mind the cold, I would love to get up there and shoot big ships covered in ice going through there in the steam but I am never able to get the free time at the right time of year before too much snow falls. I don't know why, but I think the shots that include the lighthouse look better before there's snow all over place.

I like the lighthouse anytime of the day/night warm/cold. Its so simple, and touristy, but something about that area is calming.

The watermark is annoying. And since you don't seem to care about my photographs any longer... I think I shall part from you. Too bad.

Think nothing of it. I was just coming on to ask if you were feeling alright. The comment was certainly out of character for you.

We have all drank to much and said even more before, so I am not one to look down on you for doing it.

As for the © watermarks, I feel like I have to these days. There is too much theft out there. And while I don't submit in a high enough res or file size for them to do a lot with it. . . I dont' want anyone else taking credit for it either.

Hopefully I will find a better solution in the near future.

Thanks, I am glad you understand. Tough times and alcohol dont mix for me. Anyhow. Thanks man.

Wouldnt it be nice if a picture would self destruct if someone tried to copy or edit it without permission?

I would love it to destroy their computer, but what can you do right? I will be experimenting with different things, but in the end, I just don't want my stuff around the internet uncredited.

As for understanding, its easy. I like Vodka, and on a bad day it can be dangerous.

Wow! I'm amazed that you braved the -14F windchill to get this! And an exquisite show nonetheless! :D

It was actually -16 without the windchill. I don't know what the Wind Index was this morning off hand, but what I do know is it took about 3 seconds for my fingers to go numb outside of the gloves.
